WHAT’S COVERED IN THE
DEVELOP THE NEXT GENERATION OF LITTLE ALLIES WORKSHOP:
In this highly collaborative session, the Next Pivot Point team will share stories, ideas, and research from the children’s book, Little Allies by Julie Kratz. We’ll discuss the importance and impact of having conversations about diversity, inclusion, and allyship earlier with the children in our lives.
Julie wrote this book in response to difficult conversations about racism at home with her own daughters. Little Allies and this session are meant to be a resource to help parents and people leaders everywhere guide little ones along this journey towards allyship.
Together in this session we’ll cover:
- Why we need to talk to kids and start this conversation earlier
- What being an ally means – allyship starts at home and kids naturally enjoy diversity
- How to be an ally – Allyship is a journey, and adults are modeling it everyday
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A NEXT PIVOT POINT WORKSHOP
Next Pivot Point workshops can be delivered virtually or in person and are led by subject matter experts and talented facilitators. You can expect:
- 60-90 minutes of engaging and thought provoking content
- Live polling and activities
- Live moderation & resource sharing
- Action items and ideas to practice for all participants
