Microaggressions are harmful statements or actions most people have said, heard, or participated in. They happen at a much higher frequency to women, people of color, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and those with disabilities. Aspiring allies need to gain awareness around how harmful and painful these behaviors are and be prepared to call people in and hold those accountable for their non-inclusive behavior.

During this workshop, we’ll cover:

  1. What microaggressions are and why they matter in the workplace
  2. Strategies to manage your behavior and the behavior of others around you
  3. Scenarios to practice techniques to manage microaggressions and biases
